After Gym 8, when I searched online for options, I remembered the Pledge Moves.īase Power 80, guaranteed STAB (Making for an effective 120 Power). So, for a long time, my Mega Sceptile relied on Detect, Mega Drain, Hidden Power Ice and Dual Chop to do most of its fighting, using Lightning Rod and my Manectric for power boosts during double battles. Admittedly I only found out that Grovyle and Sceptile wouldn't get any new special moves until Level 63 until after Treecko evolved. I had a Treecko in an Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke, didn't wait until Level 21 (where it would learn Giga Drain) to evolve it. Personally, I say the Pledge moves can be handy fallbacks.
